-
Managing a job and a household
-
Pregnancy and labor pain

Death of loved ones

-
In pregnant mothers:
-
Both mother and child remain alert and aware. With continuous practice, the child receives positive qualities. Mothers do not suffer from depression, hypertension, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, or high BP. Even if complications arise, they are handled calmly. The mother cooperates well with the doctor. Cesarean deliveries are reduced by about 50%.
-
Mothers observe labor pains with equanimity and pass through them easily. The duration of labor pain is found to be shorter. Women practicing meditation cooperate better during delivery. The total labor time—from the start of pain until the baby is born—is often reduced to one-fourth or half.
-
In breastfeeding mothers, milk production increases significantly. In some meditating mothers, milk has even been seen to flow like a stream. Nowadays, a lack of milk or early drying up is common, and babies are given artificial milk or cow’s milk, depriving them of their mother’s milk. Meditating mothers breastfeed with loving-kindness, protecting both themselves and their babies.

Science has no cure to remove greed, hatred, and delusion. There is no remedy for anger, jealousy, envy, lying, stealing, robbery, terrorism, murder, suicide, ego, greed, despair, fear, lust, enmity, or deceit. Vipassana practice alone is the remedy for these.
-
Science also has no lasting means to increase qualities such as compassion, kindness, love, empathy, happiness, equanimity, simplicity, acceptance, forgiveness, transparency, honesty, discipline, and positivity—or if it does, it is only for a very short time. The practice of Vipassana awakens wholesome actions and qualities within us.
“To abstain from all evil,
To cultivate wholesome qualities,
To purify one’s own mind—
This is the teaching of all the Buddhas.”
— Dhammapada 183
This is the key to success, the key to health—this alone, truly this alone.
Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.
